and everything was Green and submarine.

Sooooooorry that it took so long! I have been superbuzy last week.

So, I think you can call this the big Lowlands special.
Jessica, Astroid and I arrived on Thursday night 7.30. We had to wait in line to get inside for over 2 hours, 'cuz in some mysterious way, we stayed last in line for ever!
Anyway, while we waited rain poored down like crazy and thunder was all around. All our belongings were wet

Fortunately, when we were finally inside it was dry again and we could set up our tent. It was dark already but thankfully our camping mates [Jessica's bf, amongst others] helped us and shone by with their flash lights. =]

When we were done I went to the 24-hour tent with Niels to party. A little bit later As & Jess came to. That was such a good beginning of LL '09.
The next day we were awake at 9 o'clock 'cuz the sun burned us out of our tents. At 13.00 the festival site opened and we had to wait in line pretty long, so we only could see the end of White Lies. Bugger.
They were good though.

I won't tell everything in the tiniest detail. Just post the pics and then I'm done. =)

&What did I see?
White Lies, Paolo Nutini, Razorlight, Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, The Prodigy, Kasabian, 2 Many DJs, Tiga, Crookers, Reverend & the Makers, Maxïmo Park, Kaiser Chiefs, Kyteman, Nina Kinert, Boemklatsch, De Staat, Vampire Weekend, Little Boots, Snoooooooooop Dogg, Florence and the Machine, Block Party & Arctic Monkeys.

I though most acts were really, really good. Especially the Prodigy, Kasabian, Nina Kinert, Maxïmo Park and Vampire Weekend.
Kaiser Chiefs, of course, were better than best. After seeing them live 4 times, they can still entertain me, though I'm starting to recognise their routine. xD

Never mind the god damn ugly photo's [didn't take my good cam]. God forbade me to make good pictures, especially of the concerts. *%&*@#^

i don't always Like when children laugh.

Jessica and Astroid told me a week before Lowlands that Nina Kinert was a good singer. I got her album and indeed: she was freaking good.
So we went to see her on the Lowlands Saturday moring.
Well, I must say it was an amazing performance. At 11.30 Nina was already wide awake and had a throath that smashed the whole India tent.
I couldn't find video's of the performance I saw, but here's a video of a special performance she did for Dutch national telly.

Nina Kinert - Beast.

At her 'big performance' in the India, she performed with two percusionists/drummers and a electric guitarist alongside the girl with the cello/violon [who also played electric bass guitar] that's in the video, too. It was her first performance and she did very, very well.

Now i'm going to get rid of my curly hair and of the banana that erupted in my bag. Grose.

she's my queen, BITCH.

I'm back from a freakin' great camping flight to Lowlands Paradise.

And I'm heading straight to bed..

Here's a treat. Kasabian was so much better than two years ago. Really a fuckingamazing show. Tom changed his look to a Ricky Wilson look. Pitty. Kasabian was good, but Kaisers were so much better, though. All about that tomorrow. Just watch the damn clip, now. I'm in it a 0.46 and 2.25 seconds. Yeah, that's right, with the sunglasses and the freaking curls.

Kasabian - Shoot the Runner live @ Lowlands '09.

After that, I'm heading to Lowlands Paradise!! Whohoo, I'm super, superexcited!
It's gonna be so great. <3 I'm really looking forwards to the performance of Little Boots and Reverend and The Makers and many, many more!

fun lovin' Culture Junk.

That's what it is now, the name of the blog.
Time for a change and for a whole new name, one a bit more fun. :)
URL has also changed. Hope it doesn't cost me readers..

By the way, I started running yesterday. You know, as a work out. To even the score now I'm not cycling to and from school 30 km anymore..
What a joke, right?

if the Music's pumpin' it will give you new life.

Most graceful Madonna video ever.

Madonna - Vogue.

I used to be a huge fan of here, back in the ol' days.
It remains just a tiny little bit, nowadays.

honey, Baby, dance with me.

Friday Peter and I took the car to Amsterdam. We wanted to go to 'De Parade'. De Parade is a Dutch theatre festival with a very excentric atmosphere. It's really good. I had been there twice before and I have always enjoyed it!
So what Peter and I did was really, fucking clever [my dad suggested it to us, however].
We brought our bicycles and parked the car in Diemen. We cycled to my uncle in Amsterdam to drop off our sleeping stuff. Then we cycled to the Martin Luther Kingpark to puchase our tickets for the theatre shows at de Parade.
Cycling in Amsterdam is great! It became a small town at once. Everything is so easy to reach and you are everywhere so fast. Loved it!
After we purchased tickets we went to the centre of Amsterdam, ate a sandwich before the AH behind the Palace on the Dam Square. Then we walked over the Dam and through the Red Light District.
Actually, we just wondered around a little bit, something we both love.
Then we had dinner at the Burger King and headed to the Parade festival again.
It's hard to describe the shows we saw.. It's hard to explain theatre without harming the pieces of art, so I won't say anyting about them, except that we saw 'AAP', 'Kijkshock' and 'Ballet voor Dikke Jongens' and they were absolutely great!

For the rest I hope I will give you a propper impression of how the atmosphere was on the festival site, 'cuz I think it's quite unique.

It was very, very busy. We had to queue pretty long before we could enter the site. So we just made pictures to pass the time.

As I said, it was busy at the Parade. Here is what it sort of looks like..
The sunset provided a lovely glow, by the way.

Sponsored by Brand beer.

Wrecked technological thingies/art.

Me + hat+ tickets.
The following pictures are more impressions of the festival.
